The No Kings Guillotine is a symbol of the people’s strength and resolve, a reminder that this tyrant too—like so many before him—will fall.
Though too many seem willing to abandon the democratic experiment, millions of good people see the threat clearly and have sworn to stop it.
We will not accept the end of the democracy our diverse ancestors worked so hard to build.
We refuse to be ruled by tyrants, despots, autocrats, and authoritarians. We will have no kings.
One hundred percent of proceeds from sales of No Kings Guillotine logo gear will go to organizations that are fighting to defend our democratic ideals and practices.
In addition to raising money for worthy groups, I hope to help spread a message to both supporters of democracy as well as to those who would destroy it: This dark time will come to an end, and those who had a hand in attempting to turn out the lights will be held accountable.
Democracy defenders will keep our heads. We’ll band together to fight with heart and creativity and love, and we’ll win.
And those welcoming the fall of our democratic system, they should be thinking about keeping their heads, too.
